Yuzvendra C. Shares Story Behind Viral Dance Video

Yuzvendra Chahal, the star spinner of Rajasthan Royals, has once again proved his mettle on the field in the IPL 2023. In a match against Chennai Super Kings, he scalped two crucial wickets, taking his wicket tally to 10 in four matches, and emerged as the purple cap holder.

However, Chahal is not only known for his classic bowling but also for his off-the-field antics. Recently, a video went viral on social media, showing Chahal dancing with RR's recruit and England batter Joe Root on the song "Biba."

Chahal, who is quite popular for his dance moves, revealed that the song played in the video is one of his favorites. According to Chahal, it was Root who came up with the dance steps and taught them to him on the first day they met.

In a video posted on IPL's Twitter, Chahal said, "The moves were from Joe bhai because when he had come and we met for the first time, he taught me the move and told me that we would do this."

The Latest on Joe Root

On Joe Root's end, the former England captain has expressed his excitement for his first-ever stint in the Indian Premier League (IPL) as part of the Rajasthan Royals. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Root stated that he is grateful for the opportunity to play in the T20 format, which he has not had many chances to play in previously.

Despite not having played a T20 International for England since 2019, Root wants to prove himself and get better in the shortest format of the game. He also discussed his views on the conventional roles of batters in T20 cricket, stating that there is still a place for situational players who read the game well, rather than just power-hitters or anchors.

Root praised the freedom that England has allowed within their group, leading to a consistent and confident team. Root's involvement in the IPL will undoubtedly help him develop as an individual and player, and his insights into the game provide valuable insights for all cricket fans.

However, despite being consistently named among the substitutes, the former England captain has yet to make an appearance.

The Latest on CSK

Meanwhile, in the match against CSK, the unheralded Rajasthan Royals seamer Sandeep Sharma emerged as the hero, nailing a couple of perfect block-hole deliveries to earn a three-run victory for his side.

Chasing a target of 176, CSK's veterans MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja were on course, but Sandeep Sharma's perfect bowling restricted them to a score of 172 for 6.

Despite Dhoni's efforts, he couldn't end his 200th game for CSK in a manner he would have liked, as the medium-pacer got a perfect block-hole ball to Dhoni, and it fetched a couple of singles.

Overall, it was a great match with a thrilling finish, but the dance moves of Root and Chahal were certainly a highlight for fans both on and off the field.

Currently, CSK is preparing for a match against the Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 17.
