Tasnia Farin to Collaborate With Sabyasachi Chakraborty
In an exciting update, the acclaimed Bangladeshi actress Tasnia Farin has been cast in a significant role in the upcoming movie "Patri Chai," which is directed by the renowned filmmaker Biplab Goswami.
Tasnia Farin recently tied the knot just a couple of weeks ago. She had been in a relationship with Shaikh Rezwan for eight years before their marriage. Despite her busy schedule, she managed to arrange her wedding within a one-day break in her shooting commitments, and she resumed work immediately after the wedding. Tasnia then traveled to Australia for her shooting project. While she did manage to enjoy a four-day honeymoon in the Maldives, it was a relatively quick getaway due to her busy schedule.
Tasnia Farin received high praise for her debut in the Tollywood film industry with "Aro Ek Prithibi," a film directed by Atanu Ghosh. Kolkata actor Arjun Chakrabarty will be starring alongside Farin in the movie. The screenplay for the film will be written by Biplab Goswami, who also penned 'Laapataa Ladies,' a project directed by Aamir Khan.
The actress known for her role in "Karagar," also mentioned that the film "Patri Chai," is set to commence shooting shortly. In this film, she will be sharing the screen with notable actors such as Sabyasachi Chakraborty, Arjun Chakrabarty, and Mamata Shankar, among others. The project will be produced by the Kolkata-based production company Promod Films.
In a social media post, Farin excitedly shared this news with her fans, expressing her enthusiasm for the project. Her caption read, "After 'Aaro Ek Prithibi,' now it's 'Patri Chai.'"
As reported by Anandabazar, the film is set to explore a narrative that delves into complex social issues. Director Biplob Goswami elaborated, saying, "It's a story that questions the deeply rooted patriarchal norms in society—a story of liberation and breaking free."
Meanwhile, Tasnia Farin's featurette in the Chorki web-film titled "Punormilone" is scheduled to start streaming from September 21. Directed by Mizanur Rahman Aryan, the project also includes actors like Siam Ahmed and Shashwta Datta, among others.
Tasnia Farin In Another Film Project
Tasnia Farin was also involved in a recent project with Director Shihab Shaheen is set to helm the Chorki original movie "Kacher Manush Dure Thuiya" under the project "Ministry of Love." The film's plot revolves around a long-distance relationship that grapples with uncertainty, doubt, and anger stemming from the physical separation of the two partners. The lead roles in the movie will be played by actors Pritom Hasan and Tasnia Farin.
The "Ministry of Love" project involves 12 filmmakers creating movies centered around the theme of "love." Notably, Mostofa Sarwar Farooki is taking on the co-production responsibilities for the entire project. The filming for "Kacher Manush Dure Thuiya" took place in both Bangladesh and Australia.
Mostafa Sarwar Farooki mentioned to the media that the project would be unconventional and ambitious in its approach. Redoan Rony also shared that the projects would be released at various times throughout 2023 and 2024.
Farin expressed her delight with her part in the project, saying, “The story of this movie is very similar to my life. My husband and I had a long distance relationship. My character's name in the movie is Sharmin. Sharmin was troubled by past relationships. But after meeting Farhan, something great happened.”
