Steph Curry Joins and Sings with Paramore in Concert Stage

During the concert at the Chase Center on Monday night, the rock band Paramore was joined by NBA player Stephen Curry. They performed the band's 2007 hit song, 'Misery Business,' together.

“In about 60 seconds, somebody from out there is gonna come up here on this stage and help us finish the song,” Hayley Williams told the crowd. “What I mean when I say somebody from out there — well, it might be somebody that you know, I’m not sure. I don’t know, why don’t we see? San Francisco, would you please welcome No. 30, Mr. Steph Curry!”

Fans of Paramore who were present at the band's concert at the Chase Center were pleasantly surprised when Stephen Curry delivered an electrifying performance during the show. Stephen Curry, a four-time NBA champion, graced the stage and teamed up with Paramore's lead singer Hayley Williams to deliver a performance of the band's popular song "Misery Business." The song is a well-loved track from their album "Riot!," which was released in 2007.

At 35 years old, Stephen Curry has been a devoted fan of Paramore for quite some time. He expressed his admiration by wearing one of the band's hoodies. Hayley Williams, the lead singer of Paramore, shared that she and Curry have a history spanning a few years and characterized the concert as a reunion between them. Once Curry took the microphone, the atmosphere transformed from a Paramore show to a performance centered around him – a "Steph Curry show," as Williams put it.

The audience erupted in excitement, and Stephen Curry seized control of the concert. As he passionately sang the top song on the list of the 10 greatest Paramore tracks, he exuded the aura of a seasoned musical rockstar. He confidently approached the edge of the stage, leaning in towards the thrilled fans, giving the impression that he was a natural at it, as if he had performed in such a manner countless times before.

Steph Curry's wife, Ayesha Curry, was also present at the show and shared several snapshots from the evening on her Instagram Stories. She mentioned, "We listened to Paramore on one of our first dates … and many years later they were kind enough to perform at his 30th," alongside a video of her husband near the stage. She expressed her excitement about the experience, referring to it as a "full circle moment." Ayesha thanked Paramore and Hayley Williams for the performance, highlighting the song "Still Into You" as a particularly memorable moment of the night. She concluded by describing it as "honestly, one of the coolest nights."

Previously, the band had to unexpectedly cancel their performance at Chase Center just two hours before it was scheduled to start due to illness. However, during the Monday night show, Hayley informed the audience that she was still not feeling well, but Stephen Curry's assistance in singing provided some relief and support during the performance.

The concert is a part of the band's ongoing "This Is Why Tour," which commenced on October 2, 2022, and is set to conclude on November 28, 2023. This tour marks the fifth concert tour for the American rock band, held in promotion of their sixth studio album titled "This Is Why," released in 2023.
