Shubman Gill Shares His Latest Photoshoot
Shubman Gill is one of many cricket players with a prominent social media presence. Recently, the player shared a photo of himself in a stylish outfit and gold-plated furniture.
The photo was part of a collaboration with Indian batter Nitish Rana’s wife, Saachi Marwah(an architectural designer by profession). The photo shoot is meant to promote a newly curated gold-plated chair.
The photoshoot showed the player captured in a rusty location, seated on the gold-plated chair with the back facing the front. In the caption, the entrepreneur termed the chair a “throne of finesse.”
In addition to this, the post read, "Curated & Designed for everyday luxury by @saachi.marwah.rana #bespokefurniture"
So far, the post gained over four hundred thousand likes and many positive comments. One user commented, "At first sight, I thought he is sitting on some sort of giant, shiny, gold-plated, glitter PSL trophy."
Last Time Gill's Social Media Made Headlines
This post is not the first time that Gill's social media made a headline. After Valentine's Day, a report speculating Shubman Gill and Sara Tendulkar visiting the same restaurant in London popped up.
Since the two were spotted together on multiple occasions, rumors began to go around that the two were dating. Shubman's cryptic response regarding his rumored relationships last year only served to fuel the rumors.
On Valentine's Day, Shubman posted a picture while sipping a cup of coffee in a posh restaurant in London and captioned it, "What day is it again?”
Several fans were quick to point out the similarities between Shubman Gill and Sara Tendulkar's posts on the same day, but there have been no confirmations so far.
Shubman Gill's Cricket Status
Aside from a prominent presence on social media, Gill is becoming a rising star on the field. Recently, the batter has shone in the limited-over formats with an explosive batting performance and limited-over formats this year.
Gill became only the fifth Indian player to score a double-century in ODI cricket. He also achieved the record for the highest T20I score by an Indian batter after playing a blistering knock of 126 runs. Both records were achieved in a Test series against New Zealand, which India won 2-1.
The cricket player's rise to prominence following his performances in the ICC U19 World Cup 2018. During that tournament, he scored 372 runs and bagged the Player of the Tournament trophy, and featured in the ICC Team of the World Cup.
Team India's Current Status and Next Matches
Currently, India is playing the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (a Test series between India and Australia). India is leading 2-0, and the third Test of the series starts on March 1.
After the Test series ends on March 13, the two teams will face each other again in an ODI series starting on March 17. There will be three ODI matches, and they will be on March 17, 19, and 22.
This year, India has made several headlines for achieving different records. Recently, batsman Cheteshwar Arvind Pujara played his 100th Test match and was presented with a signed jersey from Team Australia to commemorate the milestone.
