Shah Rukh Khan Spotted Hanging Out with Kohli

Bollywood superstar and Kolkata Knight Riders co-owner Shah Rukh Khan(SRK) stole the show at the IPL 2023 match against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Thursday night at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. After KKR's massive win, SRK met every player on the field from both sides and shared a hug with RCB's batting maestro Virat Kohli.

In a viral video, the duo is seen trying the popular dance step from Shah Rukh's movie Pathaan.

The sweet moment between "King Khan" and "King Kohli" has garnered over 35,000 views and 1,800 likes so far.

Khan's Other Antics

Apart from hugging Kohli, the KKR co-owner was also seen sharing a warm embrace with Shardul Thakur, who won the Player of the Match Award for his remarkable knock of 68 runs in just 29 balls. Additionally, he congratulated KKR captain Nitish Rana for leading the team to victory on their return to the iconic Eden Gardens, their home ground, for the first time since IPL 2019.

After meeting the teams, Shah Rukh Khan took a victory lap around the iconic Kolkata venue to show his gratitude towards the passionate KKR fans who showed up in huge numbers for the blockbuster clash. He blew kisses to the cheering crowd, who were overjoyed with the team's morale-boosting victory.

Shah Rukh Khan also went into the KKR dressing room to celebrate their first victory of the season with the team and support staff. He was caught on camera singing and dancing to KKR's latest dressing room song.

Shah Rukh Khan Spotted in the Stands

Before he met with the players, Khan could be seen cheering for his IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders during their match against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

SRK was accompanied by his daughter Suhana Khan and her friend Shanaya Kapoor at the match. He was seen grooving to the tune of 'Jhoome Jo Pathaan' on the balcony and munching on popcorn with his manager Pooja Dadlani and veteran singer Usha Uthup.

KKR co-owner Juhi Chawla was also present at the match and expressed her happiness at the team's performance. She hoped that all their matches end similarly and urged fans to give the team their best wishes, hoping to go to the finals this year and become champions.

SRK has been basking in the success of his blockbuster movie Pathaan, which was released around Republic Day and became his highest-grosser. He will be seen next in the movie Jawan, which is set to release in June and stars Nayanthara and Sunil Grover.

Strong Efforts on Both Sides

On the field and fresh from his excellent 82 not out against Mumbai Indians, Kohli started well in the game, scoring a boundary off the first ball of the innings against Umesh Yadav.

However, he failed to carry the momentum and was dismissed for 21 in the massive 205-run chase against Kolkata Knight Riders. Veteran Sunil Narine bowled an outstanding delivery to hit the timber and send Kohli back to the pavilion.

KKR's win was made possible by Shardul Thakur's blistering 68-run knock and the spin trio of Varun Chakaravarthy, Suyash Sharma, and Narine. Shardul and opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz (57 off 44 balls) scored half-centuries while Rinku Singh (46 off 33 balls) made a significant contribution as KKR recovered from 89 for five to post 204 for seven.

Shardul and Rinku shared a sensational 103-run stand which revived KKR's innings and put them in a formidable position. Thakur, who came in at No. 7, hammered the joint-fastest fifty of the season off 20 balls.

Leg-spinner Varun Chakravarthy (4/15) and young Suyash Sharma (3/30) did the maximum damage as KKR dismissed RCB for 123 in 17.4 overs. Overall, it was an exciting game of cricket, with plenty of memorable moments, both on and off the field.
