Saint West Thrilled at Messi's MLS Debut

Kim Kardashian and her ex-husband Kanye West's son, Saint West, couldn't contain his excitement and was thrilled when he attended his favorite soccer player Lionel Messi's first MLS game. The 7-year-old stole the show during an on-camera interview with his mom just before the start of the match between Inter Miami and Cruz Azul on July 21. As the SKIMS founder began to speak to an Apple TV reporter, a beaming Saint stood by her side, eager to be a part of the conversation.
Kim revealed that it was her son's passion for soccer that brought them to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to watch the game. "He's obsessed with soccer," she said with pride. "I will do everything for my babies. So I've traveled the world. We do soccer trips, and it's not stopping all summer. We're going to different exhibition games."
Interestingly, Kim shared that she, too, had a soccer background, having played as a goalie and center forward for "five or six years" during her younger days. "I wasn't bad," she recalled with a smile. "I loved it. So I'm happy that my boy loves it, and we can come and hang out together."
Throughout the interview, Saint couldn't contain his enthusiasm and chimed in near the microphone a couple of times. Laughing, Kim explained to the interviewer, "He has the players' sweat on him." It was evident that the young soccer enthusiast was truly dedicated to his favorite sport and idol, Lionel Messi.
Following the game, which Inter Miami won 2-1 against Cruz Azul, Kim shared a heartwarming video on her Instagram Stories. The clip showed Saint and his friend meeting Lionel Messi, who happened to be his favorite player. The young boys were overjoyed as they took pictures with the soccer star while he walked by them on the side of the field. Kim captioned the video, "Best day of their entire lives."
The excitement didn't stop there. Kim had the pleasure of hanging out with some A-list friends at the game, including Victoria and David Beckham, the co-owner of Inter Miami. The presence of such influential figures made the event even more memorable for Saint and his mom.
"Oh my gosh," Kim told the interviewer. "They're so excited. That just makes me so excited. I'm happy to be here with Victoria and David and everyone."
Notably, the Kardashians' star also attended the game with Tristan Thompson, the ex-boyfriend of her sister, Khloe Kardashian. The two enjoyed the match together and later extended the fun by going out to dinner and clubbing with their friends.
The event showcased not only Kim's support for her son's passion but also the closeness between high-profile figures in the entertainment and sports worlds. It was heartwarming to witness how soccer, as a sport, could bring people together and create unforgettable moments.
Kim, Saint, and the entire Kardashian-West family continue to seek more soccer adventures, attending various exhibition games around the world. The media regularly covered their soccer trips, highlighting how sports played a significant role in their family bonding.
