Sachin Tendulkar Turns 50 and Celebrations Pour In

Sachin Tendulkar, the Master Blaster, turned 50 years old on April 24, 2023. This legendary cricketer has been receiving love and warm wishes and gifts from all over the world.
Celebrities such as Anil Kapoor, Shilpa Shetty, Kajol, Preity Zinta, Sidharth Malhotra, Sonam Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, and Vivek Oberoi took to social media to wish Sachin on his special day.

Anil Kapoor shared a selfie with Sachin on Instagram and called him "one of the all-time greats of cricket, and indeed the sporting world." Shilpa Shetty shared an old photo of herself with Sachin and wished him "tons of blessings, love, and amazing health" on his 50th birthday.
Kajol shared an old interview still featuring herself and Sachin and captioned it, "Cheers to Sachin Tendulkar on his 50th birthday! A century of centuries achieved on the pitch, and a century of hearts won off it." Preity Zinta posted a picture from the match ground where she can be seen wearing her IPL team Punjab Kings jersey and Sachin donning the Mumbai Indians jersey.
Sidharth Malhotra posted a photo from one of the winning moments of Sachin's career and thanked him for inspiring millions across the world. A Tribute
In addition to various congratulatory messages, the West Stand of the Sharjah cricket stadium, where Tendulkar had played some of his memorable innings, has been renamed the 'Sachin Tendulkar Stand.'
A special ceremony was held to mark the occasion, which coincided with the 25th anniversary of Tendulkar's 'Desert Storm' back-to-back centuries against Australia in 1998.
In a message, Tendulkar thanked Bukhatir and his team for this kind gesture and expressed his love for Sharjah. He also said that playing in Sharjah has always been a magnificent experience, and the venue has been a special place for Indian cricket fans and lovers of the game.
Sachin Tendulkar's Achievements
Sachin Tendulkar is considered the greatest batter to have played the game. He has 34,357 runs in 664 international appearances at an average of 48.52, making him the highest run-scorer in international cricket. He has scored 100 centuries and 164 half-centuries, which is the most in international cricket. He is the only player to have a century of centuries.
Sachin also has the highest runs in both ODI and Test formats, with 18,426 and 15,921 runs, respectively. He is the first player to hit an ODI double hundred and to have played 200 Test matches. He also has 201 international wickets to his name, making him a very useful part-time spin bowling option. With a total of 664 international appearances, he is the most-capped player of all time.
Sachin played six IPL seasons from 2008-2013, all for Mumbai Indians, where he scored a total of 2334 runs in 78 matches at an average of 34.84. He won the 2013 edition of the tournament with the franchise as a player. His best performance came in IPL 2010 when he scored 618 runs in 15 matches at an average of 47.53 and won the Orange Cap that season.
