S. Al Hasan Completes Graduation from University

Bangladesh’s cricket superstar Shakib Al Hasan is always in the spotlight for his on-field performances and off-field activities. This time, Shakib has made headlines for completing his graduation from the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) on March 19 with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree.
Shakib traveled to Dhaka from Sylhet, where he was playing for the Bangladesh cricket team in a three-match one-day international series against Ireland. The event was held at the Bangladesh Army Stadium, where he received his certificate from the Vice-Chancellor of AIUB, Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna.
Shakib's academic journey began at the Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP), where he completed his secondary and higher secondary education before embarking on a cricket career. Completing his graduation has been a 14-year-long journey, and it was an emotional moment for him.

The video of Shakib receiving his degree has been making the rounds on social media, with fans and well-wishers congratulating him on his success.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) also lauded Shakib’s achievement, stating that it shows his commitment and discipline toward academics and sports.
"Shakib's achievement is a great example of how one can balance both sports and education. We are proud of him and hope that many young cricketers will take inspiration from his example," said a BCB official.

The graduation ceremony was even more special for Shakib, as he attended it a day after scoring a brilliant 93-run knock in the first ODI against Ireland. With these innings, he became the second Bangladeshi player to score 7,000 runs in one-day internationals, a remarkable feat for any cricketer. Shakib has also taken over 300 wickets in the 50-over format.
Shakib is considered one of the greatest all-rounders in world cricket today. He has played in 58 Tests, 211 One-Day Internationals (ODIs), and 82 Twenty20 Internationals for Bangladesh. He has scored over 12,000 international runs and taken over 600 wickets across all formats. Shakib’s contribution to Bangladesh cricket has been immense, and he has been a vital part of the team’s success over the years.
