Runa Khan Takes Dual Roles in Upcoming Web Film

Runa Khan is embarking on a bold new journey with her most recent endeavor, a web film titled "Shodh." This ambitious project showcases her multifaceted talents as she steps into not one, but two unique roles within the narrative.

Within "Shodh," Runa Khan delves into the intricate themes of love, faith, and vengeance, lending her artistry to breathe life into this compelling storyline. It's worth noting that, while her past cinematic experiences often involved the portrayal of a single character, Runa Khan enthusiastically seized the chance to embrace the challenge of embodying two distinct personas within "Shodh." This daring artistic choice exemplifies her willingness to push boundaries and explore uncharted creative territories.

The production of "Shodh" has just concluded its filming in the picturesque locations of Gazipur and Manikganj, all under the skilled direction of Shahriar Nazim Joy. Adding a fascinating twist to this cinematic tale, Joy not only helmed the directorial duties but also took on the challenging role of Runa Khan's on-screen husband within the film. This dual role, both behind and in front of the camera, adds an extra layer of intrigue to the project, promising a unique and immersive cinematic experience for the audience.

In "Shodh," Runa takes on two distinct characters. One of them portrays a humble rural housewife, demanding her complete immersion in the role. The other character, in stark contrast, is a sophisticated city girl. Runa Khan expressed her joy in tackling these diverse roles, stating, "I thoroughly enjoyed bringing these two characters to life simultaneously. An artist's duty is to step into a character's shoes, and I was able to do that in 'Shodh'."

Runa Khan had a highly positive collaboration with director Joy, particularly in their work on "Shodh." Notably, "Shodh" represents Joy's directorial debut in the web film genre.

Aside from "Shodh," Runa Khan has recently finished shooting for the film "Bok," directed by Masud Pathik. Her portrayal in the web series "Bodh," directed by Amitabh Reza Chowdhury, garnered acclaim, and the web film "Antonagar," directed by Goutam Koiri, received a favorable response from the audience.
