Rohit Sharma Makes Hilarious Scene in Selfie with Fan

Rohit Sharma’s birthday celebrations were even better with a thrilling victory for the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Indian Premier League (IPL). It was a high-scoring match, and MI ended their two-match losing streak with a six-wicket win over Rajasthan Royals (RR) in what was a last-over classic.
The highlight of the night was MI's successful chase of a total of 211, which is the highest-ever run-chase at Mumbai's Wankhede stadium. Cameron Green, Suryakumar Yadav, and Tim David were the stars of the night for MI.
The Selfie Incident
For Rohit, it was a deja vu moment as he marked his 36th birthday with a victory for the second year in a row over Rajasthan. Although he failed with the bat, Rohit was in high spirits and even took time out to take selfies with fans after the game.
However, a video that has gone viral on social media shows how one fan was left frustrated after Rohit took a selfie with the fan’s phone but forgot to return it. The fan had to remind Rohit to return the phone, and luckily, the skipper heard the fan and returned the phone in time.
Last Selfie Incident
This is not the first time that a hilarious incident occurred when a player took a selfie with a fan. Previously, Sanju Samson was in the spotlight after his endearing interaction with fans before the Rajasthan Royals' match against the Chennai Super Kings. The Indian cricketer's popularity has been on the rise since his comeback to the national team in 2019, and he never fails to amaze his fans with his performances both on and off the field.
During a selfie session, Samson answered a fan's phone call and greeted the caller with a cheerful "Bhaiya kya haal hai?". The video of Samson's reaction quickly went viral on social media, with fans praising him for his approachability and down-to-earth personality. This just goes to show that even the smallest of gestures can make a big impact on people's lives.
Mumbai Indian's Status
During the match, Yashasvi Jaiswal's maiden century went in vain as MI pulled off a stunning six-wicket win over RR, chasing down the target of 212 with three balls to spare. Jaiswal smashed 124 off just 62 balls, but Tim David's three consecutive sixes in the final over secured the victory for MI. Cameron Green and Suryakumar Yadav also played crucial knocks in the middle, setting up the stage for David's heroics.
The win was especially significant for the team as it was the 1000th match of the IPL. MI now has four wins and four losses in eight games
Although MI is currently seventh in the IPL table, they are still in contention for a playoff spot as only two points separate the teams from 2nd to 7th place. With four wins and four losses in eight games so far, Rohit and his men have their work cut out for them to ensure that they make it to the playoffs.
Despite the challenges that lie ahead, Rohit and MI fans can take comfort in the fact that they have the skipper's birthday magic on their side.
