Rishabh Pant Delights Fans with Promo Video

The countdown for the Indian Premier League 2023 has begun, and the fans are eagerly waiting for the action-packed cricket extravaganza. But the league will be missing some of the big names owing to injuries, and the biggest of them all is Rishabh Pant. However, the Delhi Capitals captain has a surprise in store for his fans.
A promotional video featuring Pant is making the rounds on social media where he can be seen promoting food delivery platform Zomato's new program, Zomato Premier League (ZPL). In the video, Pant reveals that he is still in the game and is coming to play, albeit not on the field but in the ZPL game.
Pant, who is known for his aggressive batting and excellent wicket-keeping skills, has a huge fan following, and they will be disappointed that he will not be on the field this season.
However, the ZPL game will give his fans something to cheer about. The game will allow players to predict the winner of the ongoing match and win rewards on the Zomato app based on their predictions.
Pant's Injury Story
The star India wicketkeeper-batter has been out of action for a while due to a tragic car accident in December 2022. Pant miraculously survived after his car collided with a divider and caught fire on the Delhi-Dehradun highway on the way to his hometown Roorkee. However, he has now started his rehab process and is sharing videos of him walking again.
Pant's absence means that Delhi Capitals will be missing a very impactful player when they begin their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 campaign against the KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants on Saturday.
In his absence, the Delhi Capitals will be led by David Warner, who led Sunrisers Hyderabad to their only IPL title in 2016.
What's Going on With Delhi Capitals
The Delhi Capitals are a team with a point to prove. Despite having some of the biggest names in cricket in the past, they have very few achievements in the IPL. This year, however, despite having a list of injured and missing players,
Currently, Delhi Capitals are likely to sign Abishek Porel from Bengal as a replacement for the injured wicket-keeper batter. The signing of Porel has not yet been formally confirmed, but he has been observed by the Capitals coaching staff, including director of cricket Sourav Ganguly and head coach Ricky Ponting.
Porel, along with three other uncapped wicketkeepers, has been put through a series of match simulation drills over the past week at a week-long training camp in New Delhi.
The sixteenth season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is set to start on March 31, with Chennai Super Kings taking on the defending champions Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Fans are eagerly waiting to see how Delhi Capitals will perform without Pant, and if one of the three new wicket-keepers can fill his shoes.
