Rashid Khan Spotted Playing Street Cricket with Fans

Afghan cricketer Rashid Khan recently made waves in India when he was spotted playing street cricket with locals in the country. The Gujarat Titans’ star has been in great form this season, having already taken 15 wickets in just nine matches.

Khan’s humble nature and love for the game were evident as he took time out of his busy schedule to engage with fans and play the game he loves with them. A video of his street cricket game quickly went viral.

The video, which was shared by a Twitter user named Mufaddal Vohra, has so far garnered several thousand views and has been praised for highlighting the humble nature of the star cricketer. Fans on the internet have called him the "most loved Afghani in India" and "the only Afghan player loved by everyone with 0 haters".

Other Star Players Featuring in Social Media

Rashid Khan is not the only player on the team that recently featured on social media. Around the same time as the viral video, the team posted a video on their social media page.

It featured Rashid Khan and other players from the team taking turns describing the pacer using one word.

Shami's ability to "swing" the ball, a highly regarded skill in cricket, was praised by Rashid Khan, also known as the "King of Spin". Other teammates described Shami as "skillful", "super chill", and "funny", showing his versatility on and off the field. It was evident that Shami had formed a special bond with the team, as young batter Sai Sudharshan went on to describe Shami as a "Dada" or big brother figure, demonstrating his leadership qualities in the team.

Gujarati Titan's Latest Match

On Tuesday, Delhi Capitals beat Gujarat Titans by five runs in a closely fought IPL match. Aman Khan's maiden T20 fifty (51 off 44) and pacers Mohammed Shami (4/11 in four overs) and Ishant Sharma (2/23) played a crucial role in Delhi's victory.

Despite Hardik Pandya's (59 off 53) and Rahul Tewatia's (20) hattrick of sixes, Gujarat fell short of the target of 131 runs. Delhi has three wins in the tournament and remains at the bottom of the table, while Gujarat remains on the top. Delhi lost five wickets for 23 runs in the first innings, but Aman's lone battle helped them post a respectable score.

In the second innings, Delhi's pacers made an early breakthrough, and the introduction of slow bowlers led to more wickets falling. Pandya and Abhinav Manohar (26) tried to stabilize the innings, but Tewatia's three back-to-back sixes off the penultimate over were not enough for Gujarat to win.

Team Status

Player-wise, Rashid Khan's performance in this year's IPL has been satisfactory with the wrist spinner grabbing 15 wickets in nine matches, placing him fourth in the Purple Cap race. However, his economy rate has suffered a setback this season, standing at 8.56, which is higher than his economy of 6.6 in the previous season. In the match against Kolkata Knight Riders, Rashid conceded 54 runs without taking any wickets.

The Gujarat Titans, led by Khan, are currently at the top of the standings in the cricket league, with 12 points from nine games. They have won six matches and lost three, and their impressive performance is attributed to the skill and leadership of Rashid Khan.

Fans of the Gujarat Titans and Rashid Khan alike are eagerly anticipating the remainder of the season, hoping that the team can continue their winning streak and Khan can continue to display his skills and passion for the game.
