Raheem Sterling Leaves World Cup After Armed Burglary At Home

Raheem Sterling was not seen in the England VS Senegal game on Sunday, and it’s been confirmed that the English player left the squad to go home.

According to sources, armed burglars broke into Sterling’s home on Saturday night when his family were in. When the player learned of the break-in, he made the decision to go home and check on the well-being of his three children.

When questioned about Sterling’s return, team manager Gareth Southgate gave no confirmation but he stated, “At the moment it is a situation he needs time with his family to do deal with and I do not want to put him under any pressure. Sometimes football is not the most important thing and family should come first.”

England Captain Harry Kane and Chelsea teammate Kalidou Koulibaly also shared their well wishes and expressed that they would leave the decision up to Sterling on whether he would return.
