In a lighthearted moment, Indian cricketers R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja shared a funny video on Instagram. The video captures the duo recreating an iconic Akshay Kumar scene before dancing to the Oscar-winning song Naatu Naatu from the film RRR.

Ashwin shared the video on Instagram with the caption, “And the #Oscar goes to…. Video credits to the one and only @imsohamdesai from my Vaathi coming reel fame.”

Since being shared a day ago, the video has received more than 4.7 million views, and the numbers are still increasing. The post has also garnered several comments from fans and cricketers.

Players and Fans Left Laughing

Cricketers Hardik Pandya and Surya Kumar Yadav dropped laughing emoticons in the comments, while former India coach and cricketer Ravi Shastri called the duo a “deadly combo.”

Fans also expressed their amusement at the video, with one user commenting, “Movie offers coming in 3..2..1,” and another stating, “Legends sharing Man of the series be like.” A third user mentioned, “Still smiling after watching it many times.”

The Indian cricket team recently won the Border-Gavaskar Trophy for the fourth consecutive time.

The duo was jointly awarded the Player of the Series award in the recently concluded Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. The series win was India's fourth consecutive win, and the star spinners played a significant role in the victory.

Ravichandran Ashwin was the leading wicket-taker of the series, with 25 wickets to his name at an average of 17.28, while Ravindra Jadeja finished as the joint second-highest wicket-taker of the series, with 22 wickets at an average of 18.86.

Jadeja was also named Player of the Match in the first two games of the series for his excellent performance. He scored 70 runs and picked up seven wickets in the first match, while he picked up ten wickets in two innings of the second Test.

Ashwin, on the other hand, had two five-wicket hauls to his name in the series.

India had a rocky start to the series, losing the first two Tests, but they bounced back, winning the third Test and holding on for a draw in the fourth to clinch the series 2-1.

In a post-match presentation, Ashwin praised Jadeja for giving him enough freedom to be creative on the field with the ball. He acknowledged that both of them complement each other, and they wouldn't be the same without the other. Ashwin also praised Jadeja's performance in the Delhi Test, saying that he bowled beautifully, which is why they're here.

Meanwhile, Jadeja admitted that he wasn't satisfied with his batting performance in the series, scoring 135 runs in four matches at an average of 27 with a top score of 70. He vowed to work harder and be more focused on his batting in the next series.
