MS Dhoni Shares Birthday Greeting for Bravo's Mom

Amid a thrilling Indian Premier League (IPL) match, the captain of the Chennai Super Kings, MS Dhoni, took time out to send a special message to his teammate's mother. Dwayne Bravo's mother turned 65 on Monday and Dhoni, along with other CSK players, sent her warm birthday wishes.
In the video message, Dhoni can be heard wishing "Mummy Bravo" a happy 65th birthday and telling her to have some cake from his side, which he promised to put on Bravo's face. Ravindra Jadeja and ex-CSK player Suresh Raina also joined in wishing Bravo's mother a happy birthday.
Bravo, who has been given charge of training the bowlers this season, shared the videos on Instagram.
"All my mum wanted this year for her birthday was a CSK win. She got the most perfect gift we won. Congratulations to my team and teammates on a great victory. Now help me wish my champion mummy a Happy 65th Birthday. Best wishes lots of love from her champion son and the entire Chennai Super Kings team," Bravo wrote.
Highlights of the Latest Match
In their match against the Lucknow Super Giants, a century-opening partnership between Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway set the stage for Chennai's victory. They scored 110 runs in their partnership, helping Chennai reach a total of 217-7. Their bowlers then held Lucknow to 205-7, securing their first win of the season.
While Lucknow started strong with Kyle Mayers' 53 off 22 balls, Moeen Ali's off-spin quickly turned the tide in Chennai's favor. He got Mayers, KL Rahul, and Marcus Stoinis out, hampering Lucknow's chase. Despite Nicholas Pooran's quick 32, they were unable to recover.
Dhoni also reached a personal milestone during the game, scoring over 5000 IPL runs before departing. While his cricketing skills are unquestionable, it's his humble gestures off the field that continue to endear him to fans.
Other Reports About the Match
While the CSK showed a superb performance, not all players were able to give a strong score.
Chennai Super Kings' medium-pacer Tushar Deshpande recently opened up about the difficulties of bowling during the death overs and said he was still learning. Despite taking two wickets, Deshpande was criticized for sending down four wides and three no-balls during the match. Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni expressed his displeasure and warned the bowlers to improve their game.
"Bowling in the death is not an easy skill," Deshpande told reporters after the match. "I am still learning. We have a great death bowler as our bowling coach DJ Bravo, and I am just trying to pick his brains. My role is quite similar to what Dwayne Bravo has done over the years for CSK. I can't fill his shoes, but I am trying to learn slog-overs bowling skills from him."
Despite the criticism, Deshpande was blown away by the atmosphere at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. "I couldn't hear anything. It was literally very loud, it was exceptional. I (had) just heard about Chepauk, and today I had experienced it," he added.
It also helped that plenty of fans to have MS Dhoni playing the field and were happy to show their enthusiasm for the player.
Following the win, Chennai will play their next match against Mumbai Indians on 8 April, hoping to continue their winning momentum.
