Marcus Rashford Dedicates his Goals Against Wales to a Deceased Friend

Marcus Rashford opened up to the press and revealed that he had celebrated his first goal in the match against Wales as a dedication to a close friend that passed away from cancer two days before the game.

When Rashford had scored his first goal,

he dropped to his knees and pointed to the sky. He said in a post-match interview that he was pleased to score for him(his friend). He further stated, ''He's always been a big supporter of mine. He was just a great person and I'm pleased he came into my life, really."

During the match, England had a rather slow start in the first half. It was Rashford who gave the Three Lions the lead when he scored a stunning free-kick in the second half.

After the game, Rashford posted on Twitter, a photo of his second goal celebration, as he jumped for joy, surrounded by his England teammates with the caption, “Last 16 here we come.”
