Manchester City to Offer Haaland £600K Weekly Contract

Manchester City to Offer Haaland £600K Weekly Contract

Manchester City is planning to present Erling Haaland with a substantial new contract that would nearly double his current salary. Currently, the prolific Norwegian striker earns £375,000 per week, which makes him City's highest-paid player, tied with captain Kevin de Bruyne.

Manchester City is determined to retain Erling Haaland and is willing to make significant changes to his contract to prevent him from being tempted by other clubs like Real Madrid or lucrative offers in Saudi Arabia. The club is planning to offer the former Borussia Dortmund player a substantial basic weekly salary of £600,000 if he agrees to extend his contract beyond June 2027. This represents a substantial increase and reflects their commitment to keeping him at the club long-term.

Erling Haaland is in incredible form, having scored a remarkable hat-trick against Fulham on Saturday. This brings his goal tally to an impressive six goals in just four Premier League games this season. In the previous season, Haaland set a new record by scoring 36 goals in the Premier League and added 16 more in other competitions, which played a crucial role in Manchester City's historic treble victory.

At only 23 years old, the Norwegian international has the potential to improve even further, and it's evident that Pep Guardiola is determined to keep him at the club, ensuring his dominance in English football for the foreseeable future. Although there have been speculations linking Haaland with potential moves away from the Etihad, any such departure is not expected to happen for a few years.

The proposed new contract would not only make Erling Haaland Manchester City's top earner but also grant him the most financially rewarding deal in Premier League history. Given this significant offer, it will be intriguing to see if Haaland chooses to accept it. His decision will provide insight into whether he has intentions of joining a club like Real Madrid in the future.

If Haaland decides to sign the contract with Manchester City, it would become highly challenging for LaLiga giants like Real Madrid to surpass the terms and conditions offered by the Cityzens.

In Another Transfer Gossip

The Saudi Pro League is still determined to acquire Mohamed Salah from Liverpool for Al Ittihad. Jurgen Klopp, the Liverpool manager, would have until 11 pm tonight to secure a replacement before the transfer window closes until January. However, Liverpool is reportedly not inclined to sell their star player and talisman, Mohamed Salah.

Liverpool has turned down a £150 million bid for Mohamed Salah from Al Ittihad, but it appears that the Saudi Pro League side is persistent in their pursuit. Despite an initial bid of £100 million that could have risen to £150 million being rejected earlier on Deadline Day, Al Ittihad has not ruled out the possibility of making an improved offer.

Al Ittihad is reportedly prepared to offer Mohamed Salah a staggering £1.5 million per week in an attempt to test his loyalty to Liverpool, even though Salah's agent, Ramy Abbas, had previously ruled out a move earlier in the month. Both the club and the Saudi Pro League seem to understand that Liverpool is unwavering in their position that the Egyptian forward is not available for sale.
