Lionel Messi is Now a Playable Character on Call of Duty

It's official; fans and gamers can look forward to Argentina star Lionel Messi as a playable character in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0. The official Call of Duty Twitter account celebrated the new character with a video announcing the arrival of the 'Messi operator bundle.'

The operator bundle includes a backpack for the character and a selection of weapons. There is also a Messi Bundle available for 2,400 COD points, and will include eight different items, plus Messi himself.

The PSG forward is the third footballer to be added to the game. Before him, the game added France midfielder Paul Pogba and Brazilian superstar Neymar as characters.

Like his character, Messi is gearing up. But rather than gearing up for a gun fight, the 35-year-old is gearing up for his final World Cup. Argentina may have bounced back from a rough start, but they will need to double their efforts if they want a chance at winning their third World Cup.
