Kylian Mbappe's Instagram Post Confuses Fans

After PSG’s 1-0 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League last night, Kylian Mbappe took to Instagram and shared a photo of himself. While the picture was simple, the caption left plenty of fans confused.
The photo showed Mbappe returning to action from injury during Tuesday's Champions League clash with Bayern Munich. The caption, on the other hand, read “Tout reste à faire…,” which would translate to, “Everything remains to be done…”.
Instead, the message weirdly translated to “All that remains to be done…Manchester United’s team is now on @psg.”
General Response to the Translated Post
The bizarre translation sparked plenty of excitement from Manchester United fans. One fan said, “Does that mean Qatar are buying us and Mbappe is joining too???” Another confused fan commented, “Bro what do you mean by Manchester united on PSG?”
United ace Marcus Rashford added to the frenzy by leaving a flame emoji in the comments. In addition to Rashford, another Red Devil (Manchester United player) commented, “Man Utd coming to win Champions League next season.”
Aside from Manchester United comments, one fan remarked, “Is this about the PSG owners biding for United?”, while another fan stated, “Welcome to Manchester United! Qatar effect?”
Why Did the Post Cause a Spark Among Fans?
The strange translation comes just days after news emerged that the emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani is expected to launch a bid to buy United after the Glazer family put the club on sale. Sources say that the bid is £ 4.5 billion.
Having attended Tuesday's match in Paris, Al-Thani boasts direct links with PSG, as the club is owned by the organization he founded in 2005, Qatar Sports Investments (QSI).
Reportedly, Al-Thani is spearheading an effort to buy United ahead of Friday's soft deadline for proposals, with another organization of his. The organization is said to be the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), believed to be financing the swoop.
Aside from the recent reports, the spark over the post was because of the persistent rumors that Manchester United is interested in signing Mbappe in recent years. For now, fans of the club eagerly await any potential developments in this ongoing transfer saga.
Mbappe and His Team Status
So far, Mbappe did not comment on the confusing translation. While there are plenty of speculations, there are those that say that it is unlikely Mbappe would comment on any potential takeover move regarding United.
Currently, Mbappe and his team are preparing for the second leg of the Paris Saint Germain’s (PSG) Round of 16 matchups set to take place in Munich on March 8.
The Round of 16 matchups is for the UEFA Champions League. The UEFA Champions League is an annual club football competition featuring top-division European clubs.
So far, PSG is 2nd in their group standings with four wins from six matches and fourteen points. Bayern, meanwhile, is first in their group standings with zero losses and eighteen points.
Before this, PSG will be playing against the Lille Olympique Sporting Club (LOSC) for the Ligue 1 on February 19.
