Fans Go Crazy for MS Dhoni Playing Guitar

The cricket world is gearing up for the much-awaited 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), starting on March 31. This year's season opener will feature a clash between the defending champions, Gujarat Titans, and the formidable Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Ahmedabad.
As the anticipation builds up, CSK has been busy preparing for the much-anticipated match at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Several videos of the team's practice sessions have been circulating on social media, with fans eagerly watching their heroes, including MS Dhoni, sweating it out in the nets.

However, a recent video posted on CSK's Twitter has caught the attention of fans worldwide, showing a never-before-seen side of the former India skipper. In the video, Dhoni is seen playing guitar during an ad shoot, accompanied by co-stars Ruturaj Gaikwad, Deepak Chahar, and Shivam Dube.
The video quickly went viral, garnering over 600,000 likes on Instagram, leaving fans entertained and excited about the upcoming season.
Dhoni will play his first IPL match in Chennai after a three-year gap due to COVID restrictions, and fans cannot contain their excitement.
The IPL 2023 schedule has been announced, with Chennai Super Kings facing the Gujarat Titans in the opening match. This season, the tournament will return to its traditional home-and-away format, adding more excitement to the already exhilarating competition.
Other Ads That Dhoni Starred In
MS Dhoni's guitar playing is not the first time he got featured in an ad. In 2017, during the IPL, Dhoni, along with his teammates Ben Stokes and Ajinkya Rahane, learned a special dance for a sponsor's ad, and fans loved seeing their favorite players learning new moves.
In another ad shoot, Dhoni and his wife Sakshi were cast in a commercial, and a behind-the-scenes video surfaced on YouTube. The video showed Sakshi struggling to deliver her lines, and Dhoni couldn't resist making fun of her.
Response to MS Dhoni's Guitar Playing
MS Dhoni has a massive fan following in Chennai, and former Australian opener Matthew Hayden shared his thoughts on the upcoming season during an interview on Star Sports. Hayden expressed his excitement about Dhoni's return and the potential reception he will receive from the Yellow Army.
"It will be an amazing moment. I think last year, we were all under the impression that will MSD come back again. At the close of the IPL season, he made that huge comment to say that he will be back. Now, what that means for all that Yellow Army is that Chennai suddenly galvanized a tad around the superior leader, who has done it for so long. This will, most certainly, I think, be the close of his IPL career. So, those few games at the start are not only going to be key for the fans, but his performance is also going to be key for CSK this season," Hayden said.
With the tournament just around the corner, cricket fans around the world are eagerly waiting to witness the excitement and entertainment that IPL 2023 promises to deliver.
