The Indian Premier League (IPL) is always full of excitement, and this season has been no different. However, this year, two major controversies have broken out, and Virat Kohli has been at the center of both.

The first was Kohli's refusal to shake hands with Delhi Capitals Director of Cricket Sourav Ganguly, and the second occurred on Monday evening when Kohli and Gautam Gambhir had an ugly confrontation during a match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants.

What Happened?

During the match, Kohli and Gambhir got into a heated argument, and things got so intense that their teammates had to step in to separate them. The argument was sparked by Naveen-ul-Haq, who said something to Kohli that did not sit well with him.

Kohli responded by hurling verbal attacks at Haq and Amit Mishra. Things reached a crescendo when Gambhir stood up for his players, and Kohli nearly came to blows with him.

A Moment with a Fan

Despite all the drama, Kohli managed to pull off a pretty amazing moment during the match. Amidst all the chaos of the match, a fan breached security and hijacked the ground to touch Kohli's feet. Kohli picked up the fan and hugged him, which won the hearts of everyone watching. It was a touching moment that showed Kohli's softer side.

Unfortunately, the Gambhir saga overshadowed Kohli's heartwarming moment. Both Kohli and Gambhir were fined 100 percent of their fees by the BCCI, and their rivalry continues to be talked about for all the wrong reasons.

The Match

In terms of the game itself, Lucknow Super Giants managed to restrict RCB to a below-par score of 126 for nine. Ravi Bishnoi and Amit Mishra were the stars of the show with the ball, while Kohli failed to find his rhythm and was stumped for 31.

Despite a good start from Faf du Plessis and Kohli, RCB failed to capitalize on their partnership, with LSG bowlers pulling back the game brilliantly. Dinesh Karthik tried his best towards the end, but it wasn't enough as Naveen-ul-Haq picked up two wickets in the final over to finish with figures of 3 for 30.

Love From Fans

While there was plenty of drama with the players, there is no doubt about fans and their love for Kohli. When the IPL was initially ticking down, and of the game eagerly anticipated the chance to see their favorite players in action. And there was no bigger star in the IPL than Virat Kohli, who was set to represent Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for the 16th consecutive season.

Kohli arrived in style at the Chinnaswamy Stadium for the RCB Unbox event, which provided fans with a first glimpse of their team in action ahead of the new campaign. As soon as Kohli emerged from his car, the crowd erupted into a chorus of "Kohli Kohli."

Since then, Kohli has always managed to keep the fans buzzing with excitement.

Overall, the IPL is always full of surprises and drama, and this season has been no different. Let's hope that in the future, the focus will be on the positive moments that make the IPL such an exciting event.
