Emiliano Martinez Hosts World Cup Party at Belfry Hotel

A month has passed since Argentina won the 2022 World Cup, but that didn’t stop Emiliano Martinez from celebrating it. Recent social media posts have shown the Argentine goalkeeper hosting a World Cup party with his Argentina teammates at The Belfry Hotel.
The Belfry Hotel is a luxury hotel nine miles from Villa Park. Videos posted on social media showed the hotel had been decked out in Argentina colours. In addition to photos, memorabilia, and other decorations paying homage to the victory in Qatar, the World Cup trophy was seen in the middle of the floor.
Footage also showed guests, which included Emiliano Buendia and Philippe Coutinho, dancing to the music of Latin artist Fer Palacio while circling the trophy.
Per the theme, all guests also wore all-white attire. While he was not a compatriot of Martinez, club teammate Philippe Coutinho was also pictured adhering to the all-white dress code at the event.
Following the party at the hotel, the group reportedly continued their celebrations by travelling to a local nightclub.
Before the party, the Aston Villa stopper returned from international duty. During his time in Qatar, Martinez missed the 3-1 home defeat to Liverpool on December 26. The keeper returned on January 1 and is currently undergoing training for the club's next match. It will be the keeper’s first game for Villa since November 13.
The last thing reported on the player was when he got a tattoo of the famous trophy on his left leg after returning from Qatar. The tattoo shows the iconic trophy below three stars marking each of Argentina's triumphs in the competition, with a phrase below that reads: 'May passion lead you to glory.'
The post was shared on December 26, 2022, and had a caption, 'Thank you for tattooing this wonder.' The post also featured a photo of Martinez in the middle of getting the tattoo.
Many understood that the player had the tattoo placed on the same leg that denied Randal Kolo Muani an almost certain winner in dying minutes of extra time. Fans, however, on why '6.8.12.18' was written at the bottom of the tattoo.
It was revealed that Martinez promised teammates Geronimo Rulli, German Pezzella, Marcos Acuna, and Guido Rodriguez that he would get their squad numbers tattooed if the team were to return from the tournament as champions.
Geronimo Rulli was the one who had revealed the promise, stating, “We promised Huevo, German, me, Dibu and Guido to tattoo the cup of the world with our numbers. From the mate band”.
Pezzella wore the No.6 shirt at the 2022 World Cup, Acuna the No.8, and Rodriguez the No.18.
Currently, Martinez and his Aston Villa teammates are preparing to play against Leicester next weekend in the Premier League. It will be the first time the teams will face each other in the 2022-2023 Premier League. So far, Aston Villa has 8 wins, and 8 losses, and are in 11th place in the tournament with 28 points. The Leicester club, meanwhile, is in 14th place with 5 wins, 12 losses, and 18 points.
