The Indian Hindi-language action thriller film, Pathaan, has broken multiple records since its release on January 25, and film star Shah Rukh Khan has gained plenty of fans along the way. Among those fans is Australian opener David Warner.
Recently, Warner posted a hilarious video to pay tribute to Pathaan, which has since gone viral on social media. The video shows Warner superimposed on Shah Rukh Khan’s face in various scenes from Pathaan. Warner captioned the post, "Wow what a film, can you name this?? #legend #icon." The player released the post along with Pathaan’s superhit song 'Besharam Rang'.
The Australian opener’s love for Indian films is a well-known fact. He is also famous for posting videos on social media platforms featuring Indian movies and songs. Some of his previous social media posts include Reels and TikTok videos on various Telugu and Hindi songs and scenes, including films like Pushpa and KGF.

The post also gained plenty of hilarious comments from fans. One commenter said that the Australian cricketer will be nominated for the Oscars very soon while another commenter said that Warner is the “Real Pathaan”. A fan even asked Bollywood to “give chance to Warner” in some movies.
When the film was released, it created history by becoming the biggest opener in the history of Bollywood as the film amassed Rs 55 crore on Day 1. Pathaan has broken the record set by RRR and KGF 2.
Pathaan is the fourth instalment in the YRF Spy Universe. YRF Spy Universe is an Indian shared universe centered on a series of spy action-thriller films. Aside from featuring actor Shahrukh Khan, the film also features Bollywood heart-throb Deepika Padukone and action hero John Abraham.
The spy film also marks Shahrukh Khan's return to the big screens after more than five years. The last time Shah Rukh Khan was seen on the big screen as a lead actor was in the 2018 film ‘Zero’.
Shahrukh Khan, also known by the initials SRK, is an Indian actor and film producer. Khan is referred to as the "Baadshah of Bollywood" and "King Khan” by the media. He also made several achievements, including 14 Filmfare Awards.
Outside of Warner’s viral tribute video, Instagram reels on the movie’s songs are everywhere. One post that recently went viral was a video of Shah Rukh Khan shaking a leg to the song Jhoome Jo Pathaan from the movie. Other social media videos have shown fans in Indian cinemas dancing and cheering during the film.
Recently the Australia opener has expressed exhaustion from playing a part in an extended home season in the Big Bash League (BBL) for the Sydney Thunder franchise. In one recent interview, the player stated, “I’ve been able to train and get my workloads and everything up, and I’m probably bowling close to full training intensity as I can with the splint on. I’m on track for the second Test. I’ll get a scan in about a week and then get on the plane over there.”
Reportedly, Warner will be travelling to India for the upcoming Test series, which will start on February 9.
