Courtney Coffey Learns Bangla for Shakib's “Rajkumar”
The first look of the movie "Rajkumar," starring Shakib Khan, was unveiled on the superstar's birthday in New York in 2022. However, despite the initial announcement, shooting did not commence thereafter, leading many to believe that the project had been permanently canceled or shelved.
The good news for Shakib Khan's fans is that the production of "Rajkumar" is set to kick off in October in Pabna, and preparations for the movie are underway. The film's actress, Courtney Coffey, has already begun getting ready for her role.
Director Himel Ashraf shared with the local media that Courtney is a highly dedicated artist who is putting in a lot of effort to prepare for her role. He mentioned that as part of her preparations, she is actively trying to learn the Bengali language, indicating her commitment to the project.
"There is an assistant in America who is helping her learn Bangla regularly. She is also taking assistance from various online tutorials and apps. If everything goes well, we will start shooting in October and then we will complete the rest of the scenes in America and Canada," he added.
When questioned about the storyline of "Rajkumar," Himel Ashraf disclosed that it is a powerful family drama that aims to deeply resonate with the audience. The movie is expected to be a blend of intense emotions, action, and romance, promising a captivating and engaging viewing experience.
"I have worked hard on this script for many years. Shakib bhai is hopeful about surpassing 'Priyotoma' with this upcoming film. He is so serious about 'Rajkumar' that he refused to sign another film so that he can completely concentrate on our movie," added the director.
"Rajkumar" is set to be released simultaneously in Bangladesh, America, Canada, the Middle East, and various other countries around the world on Eid-ul-Fitr in 2024. This international release strategy aims to reach a wide and diverse audience on this special occasion.
