Brazil Confirms Surprising Names for the 2022 World Cup Squad

Brazil coach Tite confirmed the World Cup squad on Monday and surprised fans by including 39 year old Dani Alves on the list. Having not played a match in two months, there was confusion about Alves being added since he will be the oldest player ever named to a Brazilian World Cup squad.
Roberto Firmino finds himself ousted from the list with players like Gabriel Jesus, Flamengo playmaker Pedro and Tottenham's Richarlison named to the squad and returning from injury,
Currently, the team will be training for five days next week in Turin, Italy before heading to Qatar. Brazil play their first match in the World Cup on November 24 against Serbia.
