The second festival is called 'Bhogali' or 'Magh Bihu', and takes place in January to celebrate the harvest with community feasts. The third festival is called 'Kongali' or 'Kati Bihu' and happens in October.
While the teams are preparing for their IPL matches, the Kamrup Metropolitan district administration is taking all necessary measures to ensure the comfortable stay of the 12,000 young people who will be participating in the Bihu dance event in Guwahati.
The aim is to include Bihu in the Guinness World Records. These dancers, along with officials, will be accommodated in over 200 hotels and lodges across the city.
